If There Was a Way from is the first full display of Dwight Yoakam's doppelgänger on record. From the mid-tempo honky tonk of "The Distance Between You and Me" and the classic Bakersfield balladry of "The Heart That You Own" to the balls-out live 21st century rockabilly "It Takes a Lot to Rock You Baby," Yoakam shows his fragmented musical personality that somehow remains inside the 9/

'Nothings Changed Here' brings the album to another ballad (which the album has plenty of) and it is solidly written, which you can be confident of in Dwight Yoakam's material. A shout out to 'Sad, Sad Music', which is terrific and a record that is almost all exclusively written by Dwight himself.

Product description. Dwight Yoakam - There Was A Way - Cd chensbemesudumrebakhticpevadecom.co Dwight Yoakam's fourth studio album was his most muscular yet. Alongside the overtly rocking cuts, his honky-tonkers also kicked harder than anywhere in his catalog; on top of all this, he gave his loosest, most assured-sounding vocal performances to date/5(90).

When all`s said and done, Dwight Yoakam is my favourite contemporary male country singer and this is one of the reasons why. I won`t go through all the songs, there`s no point, especially as this is one album that is a coherent set from start to finish. It`s worth mentioning a fine duet with Patti Loveless on Send A Message To My Heart, though/5(90).
