Thick As A Brick was released all the way back in and was apparently Ian Anderson's idea of a piss take of the ever increasingly bloated progressive rock scene. His response to albums from the likes of ELP, Yes and King Crimson was two create his own twin track album, one that manages to reach over the forty minute mark/5().

Thick as a Brick Lyrics: Really don't mind if you sit this one out / My word's but a whisper, your deafness a shout / I may make you feel but I can't make you think / Your sperm's in the gutter.

"Thick as a brick" is a phrase meaning stubbornly dumb, as one's head is so thick that no new thoughts can enter it. The song starts with Ian Anderson expressing his low expectations for his target ("I may make you feel but I can't make you think") before singing about class structures, conformity, and the rigid moralistic beliefs of the establishment that perpetuates it.

May 31,  · referencing Thick As A Brick (The Steven Wilson Stereo Remix), 8xFile, FLAC, Album, RE, RM, 96k, none. Comparing this to the g vinyl of the same source ( Steven Wilson Stereo Remix), I'd have to give the edge slightly to the digital version. The vinyl sounds phenomenal. The distinct advantage is the bass/5(K).

Thick as a Brick is one of the greatest concept albums of all time. There have been many re-releases since original, but if you can only have one copy of this classic, this is the one to have. The 40th Anniversary Special Edition CD/ DVD has got the original stereo album, a remixed stereo version at 96/24 PCM and a Dolby Digital /5().

Dec 04,  · Thick As A Brick was edited and released as a single in April , a month after the album’s release. But skimming the cream from a three-quarter-hour masterwork was never going to be easy. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it failed to make the charts on either side of the Atlantic.
